Mary N

Mary transformed a small banana stand into growing income opportunities , creating hope and resilience for her family.

Age: 26

Location: Bamenda (Originally from Kom)

Program Type: Micro-Enterprise Startup Support

Mary Naghaah is a 26-year-old single mother of four living in Bamenda. She currently shares a single room with her four children and her mother in a friend’s home.

To provide for her family, Mary works cleaning houses and babysitting, doing whatever she can to make ends meet.

Despite her circumstances, Mary had a clear plan: she wanted to start a small tabletop business selling bananas and palm oil to generate daily income.

📈 Turning Survival into Stability

With support from the organization, Mary was able to launch her tabletop produce business. As her confidence and income grew, she expanded further, adding second-hand clothing sales to diversify her revenue stream.

Today, Mary operates:

  • A banana and palm oil tabletop business

  • A growing second-hand clothing resale side business

This dual-income model has strengthened her ability to provide for her children and reduce financial instability.

🌱 Sustainable Momentum

Mary’s story reflects the power of small-business support:

✔ Immediate income generation✔ Low overhead startup model✔ Scalable inventory growth✔ Multiple income streams✔ Increased financial resilience

Her journey demonstrates how modest investments can help mothers move from daily survival toward greater stability.
